Gracey Ripa is an American painter who explores expressive portraiture through layered oil paint and atmospheric brushwork. Her work is influenced by femininity and elements of nature.

Raised in Texas after spending her early years in Southern California, Ripa developed an early connection to warmth and vibrancy. Ripa has been a full-time artist for over ten years. She spent seven of those years running a successful private tattoo studio before ultimately transitioning to painting full-time, where she found her greatest sense of creative fulfillment and peace. Ripa regularly exhibits in juried exhibitions, art fairs, and galleries, with notable appearances including the Denver Art Museum, Red Dot Miami, and the San Francisco Art Fair. She currently lives and works in the San Francisco Bay Area.

ARTIST STATEMENT

My work explores the connection between women and nature, drawing inspiration from the strength, softness, and beauty found in both. Whether painting fine art or creating large scale murals, I strive to create pieces that evoke a sense of wonder, calm, and connection.

I believe art has the power to transform the energy of a space. Through expressive color, loose realism, and thoughtful composition, I create work that invites viewers to reflect and experience their environment in a new way. My artwork is designed to spark conversation, heighten the energy of a space, and bring intrigue.

Beyond creating artwork, I am passionate about encouraging emerging artists to pursue their own creative paths. I aim to remind others that beauty can be found in both the natural world and within ourselves, and that art has the ability to bring people together.
